Composer
Lillian originally trained as a performer and now composes music for film and theatre and other commissioned projects. Lillian is 1927’s Theatre Company Associate Composer & Associate Artist of the Young Vic Theatre, London and has presented work as composer and performer with 1927 Theatre Company since 2006. Together they have won international recognition for their stage works, including The Trafalgar Studios, West End, Young Vic Theatre, National Theatre, Cottesloe & Lyttelton Stages, Sydney Opera House, Australia, Washington DC. Her most recent compositions for 1927’s production “Golem” featured on BBC’s Click (April 2015) and Lillian is currently producing an audio CD of the West End production. Lillian recently scored Suzanne Andrade storytelling on BBC Radio 3’s The Verb (first broadcasted 2nd May 2015) and outside of 1927 Lillian has enjoyed composing music for Regents Park Open Air Theatre, London (Pride & Prejudice).

Film composition

Lillian has written for both contemporary film and silent films, and she shares a passion for both. Lillian has accompanied at the British Silent Film Festival (2014 & 2013), Barbican Centre, (Fashion in Film Festival 2010) Hoxton Hall (Laurel & Hardy shorts – Wrong Again & Habeas Corpus) and the Cinema Museum in London. Lillian regularly accompanies silent films with John Sweeney and Cyrus Gabrysch for the silent film club, Kennington Bioscope.Lillian will be playing at the first Kennington Bioscope Film Festival weekend on Saturday 20th June 2015. Lillian was a participant of the Pordenone Masterclass 2013 attending classes with Neil Brand, Donald Sosin, Stephen Horne, John Sweeney, Philip Carli and Gunter Buchwald. Working under the studentship of these composers meant Lillian continues to seek varied and interesting projects, using vocal, solo piano, electronic and digital and acoustic orchestrations.

Performer & Voiceover Artist
Lillian trained as an actor and has a warm versatile voice, both as a soprano singer and voiceover artist. Originally from London, Lillian enjoys playing with a wide range of voices and using her natural good ear and musicality in both commercial and narrative recordings. Lillian records in her home studio as well as working in various recording studios across London.
